Since opening in 1988, the Gerald W. Lynch Theater has served as a vital cultural hub for John Jay College and the broader New York City community. Located near Lincoln Center, the theater hosts a diverse range of events including opera, theater, comedy, dance, and has been home to events such as the Lincoln Center Festival, Prototype Opera, Comedy Central and Netflix productions.

In addition to public performances, the theater is also available for private events, including corporate conferences, graduations, and high-profile award shows.
