CATERING & RECEPTIONS

John Jay College offers a range of dining and reception spaces suitable for events of up to 300 guests.

FACULTY STAFF DINING HALL - Bathed in natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows that look out onto the gracefully landscaped Rooftop Commons, the Faculty and Staff Dining Room is conveniently located on the Second Floor of the new Tower. The Dining Hall provides a private location for faculty and staff to relax and collaborate and is furnished with small tables and chairs for an intimate setting during the day. After hours, the space can be converted for private dinners, meeting or cocktail parties. The dining hall leads out onto the Elizabeth and Arthur J. Mirante II Faculty Dining Terrace, which provides an outdoor dining experience under the stars.

WEST END STUDENT DINING HALL - Sunlit by floor-to-ceiling windows, the 6,035- square-foot, 400-seat Student Dining Hall offers a sparking ambience that is a far cry from lunch areas recalled by earlier generations of students. By contrast, this Hall opens onto the green landscape of the new rooftop Plaza and overlooks the Hudson River. The space can be partitioned to accommodate conferences and other special events, and features three drop-down projection screens with enhanced audiovisual capabilities.

EAST END STUDENT DINING HALL
LYNN & JULES KROLL ATRIUM - In addition to serving as a major pedestrian thoroughfare for the campus the Kroll Atrium, with its dramatically pitched skylight and striking pendant lighting is used as a gathering area for people attending events at the adjacent Gerald W. Lynch Theater, L.63 lecture hall and L.61 conference center. Any activity in the Atrium must not impede egress from these facilities. Limited, pre-determined table set-ups along the perimeter walls of the Atrium are permitted.
